It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since we realized God was calling us to adopt our second child. So much has happened this year that has really slowed the whole thing down - even brought it to a complete standstill a couple of times. You can imagine how frustrating it has been. But through it all, we trusted in the Lord and his timing. Jason and I would just look at each other, shake our heads in amazement at yet another road block, and then remind ourselves..."She's just not ready yet!"
It is time, though! We are feverishly working to complete our paperwork and are planning to submit our application to Lifetree Adoption Agency in the next two weeks!
My stomach is in knots and my thoughts have been racing over the last few days. I'm ready. Jason - bless his heart - is so ready. And Jake keeps asking when we're going to get him a sister so he can walk her to school. So I know that child is ready!
Would you please pray for us? Pray that God would begin preparing us, our hearts, and our home for a precious baby girl. Pray He would make our path straight.
Would you pray for our birth mother and father? Pray they would choose LIFE and that, through this, they would come to understand God's love for them. Pray for a healthy pregnancy from Day One.
Would you consider giving to our adoption fund? The obstacles we faced throughout this year ended up stripping us of the adoption monies we had set aside, so we're starting from square one. And most of all, please pray for Joy. Pray that God would bring us all together and complete our family. We know He has great things planned for her and we cannot wait to be a part of that!
